April Newsletter

We are so close to con time, and we couldn’t be more excited! We have another jam-packed newsletter for you, complete with a VERY exciting announcement at the end, so without any further ado…

Ditmar Voting

Voting is now open, and can be done online here http://ditmars.sf.org.au/2017 or you can email ditmars@sf.org.au. Voting closes at 11:59pm Sunday 14th May EST, and you must be either a full or supporting member of Continuum 13, or a member of Contact 16 and eligible to vote in the 2016 awards.

Needs Based Memberships

Needs based memberships are available for those who would not otherwise be able to attend due to financial difficulties. All details are available on our website. The committee would like to stress that all applications are strictly confidential.

There are plenty of times left for volunteers at the convention, for anyone that has some time to spare. This year, we will also be reimbursing volunteers depending on how many hours the volunteer across the whole convention as a thank you for giving up their time.
If you’re interested, please email info@continuum.org.au with Volunteering in the subject, and let us know what days/times you’re available.

Kids Room

David and Lisa have kindly offered to man the Kids Room again this year. The room will be open at the same hours as the Dealers Room, as in previous years, and will have all kinds of activities, including craft and reading corners and toys. Children will need to be supervised by a parent or guardian as this is not a child minding service. For more information, please see our website.

Dealers Room and Market Stalls

Places are filling up quickly, so if you’re interested in having a table in the dealer’s room, or a stall at the market, please contact us ASAP so you don’t miss out! Sign up forms are available on ourfavourite website.

Programming have been working very hard to bring some amazing workshops to the convention, and you can find all the details and sign up forms here. These are fantastic opportunities and places are limited, so get in quick to make sure you don’t miss out!

Short Story and 13 Word Competitions

Entries are open for just a few more days, so if you haven’t submitted, now is the time to do it! You can email short stories to membership@continuum.org.au and enter your 13 word stories with #con13words on twitter. If you’d like to double check the guidelines, you can find them all here.
We can’t wait to read all the entries!
